Hi, I’m Shafaq. I was raised in Southern California but moved to the Bay Area in 2008. I’ve been lucky enough to call San Francisco home for the first few years and now live in central San Jose with my husband. I love Silicon Valley for its energy, diversity and the inspirational nature of the tech industry — there are never ideas not worth exploring, and entrepreneurship here can strike at any age… I love that there are no limits to what can be achieved!

Why Real Estate?
The opportunity to help people make the right decisions with the biggest transaction of their lives speaks to the advisor in me. You see, I’ve been the “go-to” person for friends, family and colleagues my whole life… the one who offers advice, consults on decisions and steps in as the “fixer” when things go south. I’ve always made decisions by gathering information and analyzing data so it is my goal to impart a similar experience on my clients where they feel educated and in the power seat with all their real estate decisions. At the end of the day, I’m the one you want on your team: an excellent listener, strong negotiator, and tireless advocate for my clients so I can ensure that my clients get the best deal in every transaction.

I also have a deep love for interior design, art and architecture so real estate felt like a natural fit… and it has been!

With a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and a double major in International Business, I bring more than 8 years of marketing, business, and real estate experience. Paired with an unparalleled commitment to providing the highest level of service for each buyer and seller, I empower, educate and support my clients through every step of the process.

So, Why the name Ritzy Realtor?
Because I put the “ritz” in every transaction! White glove service shouldn’t only be reserved for high-end luxury clientele and let’s face it — whatever stage of your life you’re in, this is a big purchase. For that reason alone, your transaction deserves to be treated with the utmost priority and highest level of customer service. Yes, that means the first-time homebuyer purchasing a 1 bedroom condo as well as the seasoned seller listing a high end luxury home in the hills. Every experience deserves to feel “ritzy” because every client who entrusts me with their real estate needs deserve nothing less.

What do I do in my free time?
I spend my free time exploring the Bay Area, checking out new restaurants to satisfy my inner foodie, and I’ve always had a passion for fashion! My husband and I love new adventures and are certified PADI scuba divers. We have a serious case of wanderlust and try to travel as often as our schedules permit.  I’m fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi but trying to brush up on my Spanish after retaining more than expected from 4 years of high school classes. Once I’m fluent in Spanish, I’d love to tackle French next!

We also love DIY home improvement and tackle a number of interior design projects as we’re constantly inspired to modernize our space. Whether that means building a barn door from scratch, painting our kitchen cabinets white or installing our kitchen backsplash, we’re always up for a challenge.
